- To work for global law firm and design, champion and drive the implementation of the firm's legal training strategy throughout the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate provision of best in class legal training services to legal staff at all levels across all practices of the global firm.
Help to define and communicate expectations around legal training and leverage the firm’s knowledge and learning to support strategic objectives.
Inspire and lead and Managing the Legal Training service day-to-day operations.
Ensure that e-learning and learning management systems and tools keep pace with emerging technologies
Keep up-to-date with training and learning trends, law firm business trends, e-learning technology and hybrid working trends and legal developments.
Embed a culture of commitment to legal education excellence, curiosity, continuous learning, innovation, engagement and exceptional client service delivery.
Define best practice guidelines and developing policies.
Participate in the annual budgeting process and regularly review the budget
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Preferably a lawyer with at least 5 years PQE experience
Relevant previous experience of working in a similar role in a top tier law firm, consultancy or other professional services entity.
A qualification in organisational development, learning and development, or coaching is desirable but not essential.
A credible self-starter who is able to implement a vision and a demonstrable track record of delivering operational success in this area.
Able to understand and work with local variations to the global legal training strategy (including legislative, language and client requirements).
Able to both lead a regionally dispersed team of resources, while also working collaboratively and collegiately in a globally distributed management team.
Able to demonstrate mastery of both the practice and business of law, and identify new areas of opportunity for legal training to help solve business challenges or improve client service.
Strong leadership, project management and change management skills, and an ability to build productive relationships.
