To work for a global Law Practice and combine research with staff management
To manage and mentor a small library & information team
Deal with higher level legal and business research requests and provide a regular current awareness service
Provide training on the use of information resources and actively promote the service to end users
Manage the Information Service budget
Identify and pilot new databases or tools and promote a culture of continuous improvement
Manage information systems to include intranet pages, library management system and current awareness platform.
Develop and maintain relationships with market data providers and information vendors

Extensive senior level information and library work experience ideally in the legal field
Ability to engage and effectively communicate with senior stakeholders within a law firm
Experience of undertaking higher level legal research enquiries
Extensive knowledge of key legal and business information and research databases and the ability to use and review core internal data sources.
Effective line management skills
Degree level education and ideally a Post-graduate qualification in Information and Library Management or similar
