- To work for prestigious law practice as part of a well established team answering legal and business research requests.
Undertake legal and business research using a variety of online resources
Assist with managing the firm's resources by undertaking activities such as negotiation and renewal of subscriptions, evaluating usage of online products, monitoring and purchase of new resources and cataloguing
Assisting with the development of the knowledge team's resources pages on the firm's intranet
Provide training in the use of library resources
A degree or post-graduate qualification in a library or information related discipline
Relevant work experience using key legal and business research databases and an excellent ability to search across publicly available sources.
Experience of library resources management including evaluation, purchasing, cataloguing, renewals and archiving.
Strong numeracy and budgeting skills and familiarity with procurement processes.
Strong negotiation skills and experience of negotiating online contracts.
Experience of using library management systems.
Excellent knowledge of Excel.
