Newly created vacancy to work for a global law practice and provide business research services

RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertake research to include corporate and financial transactions, intellectual property and litigation.
Analyse each request and identify the best research resources for efficient and cost-effective resolution.
Present research results in a clear, logical manner with suggestions for further research if relevant.
Use a range of business and legal online databases such as Capital IQ, MergerMarket, Westlaw and Lexis.
Assist with new joiner training and help to review and evaluate of new and existing electronic resources.
Maintain the hardcopy collection.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Proven research experience in a corporate information department or large law firm.
Some familiarity with business, intellectual property and legal research resources.
Ideally a degree in library science, business or law.
Able to work independently as well as part of a firm-wide research team Excellent written and oral communication skills
