Exciting new role to work for a non-governmental organisation as they embark on data sharing agreements with other stakeholders to inform better decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Take an operational lead in achieving best practice in information governance, records and data protection, as well as support the organisation in meeting its statutory legal obligations.

Support the organisation through records management and Information Governance services and provide Data Protection guidance and advice.

Ensure that the organisation meets all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in relation to records and data protection.

Help to identify any potential risks and support the mitigation of such risks.

Advise on compliance issues, ensuring that records are retained of all processing activities.
Provide ongoing evidence of compliance with the statutory requirements through the review and development of key record keeping policies and procedures.

Play a key role in corporate governance by ensuring that all projects, including digital development,  have information governance requirements built into their design.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Relevant experience of working with relevant information governance legislation relating to data protection, the freedom of information regime and public records legislation.

Data protection legislation knowledge and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and information governance security principles.

Supervisory abilities

Ideally a Records Management or similar qualification.

Evidence of relevant Continuous Professional Development.

A good level of proficiency with Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

High level problem solving and analytical skills.
